The Castle of Roccascalegna Abruzzo in the heart of Italy

Roccascalegna is an Italian town of 1.251 inhabitants in the province of Chieti in Abruzzo. It is one of the eleven towns of the Mountain Community Middle Sangro-Aventino. The village is dominated by a Castle of Roccascalegna Abruzzo on top of a outcrop rocky in a dominating position over the area, has very ancient foundation and was subject to numerous additions between the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.

Palmoli, Abruzzo, Italy

Palmoli land of Abruzzo is located on a mountain high 727 m. above sea level, it has a population density of 933 inhabitants, and is part of the Mountain Community Middle Vastese. Nearby, in the north valley, there flows a small stream, tributary of the Trigno river, called Treste, but formerly called "Sad" for its disastrous devastation in flood periods.

The castle Rocca Calascio Abruzzo

Rocca Calascio is a fortress located in Abruzzo, in the province of L' Aquila, inside the National Park of Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga, at an altitude of 1.460 meters above sea level. The town is well known for the presence of the fortress, one of the highest of Italy, and for the ancient village below, uninhabited until a few years ago and now refurbished with the creation of a small hotel with restaurant. Of course, thanks to its wonderful location, from the village you can admire sublime views.
